EFT, Counselling and Spiritual Guidance in Berkshire
I am a holistic therapist, EFT practitioner and counsellor living in Reading, Berkshire. I use a combination of EFT and humanistic counselling to help my clients to work with their issues. These may include problems such as depression, stress, anxiety, weight, phobias and many others. I see clients in both Reading and Wokingham.
What is EFT?
EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique, also called the "Tapping Technique", is a new discovery and a fast evolving treatment within the field of meridian energy techniques which has proven to be very effective in holistic healing.
In the technique tapping is performed on acupuncture points (points which lie on energy channels called meridians) in order to release blockages within a person's energy field. It is believed that when energy is blocked in any part of the body it affects the harmonious flow of energy throughout the whole system; body, mind and spirit. This disruption in the flow of energy can then result in disease (dis-ease) and, if not dealt with, can eventually develop into serious physical or mental illness.
By tapping on the acupuncture points the blocked energy, wherever it is, is released thus allowing natural healing to take place, restoring harmony and balance in mind, body and spirit.
How can EFT help me?
Whether you just feel a bit lost and don't quite understand what's going on in your life or you have a physical or emotional problem which is causing difficulties why not give EFT a go? It has been used both by myself and others to deal with a very wide range of problems and issues - with excellent and amazingly quick results. It is a simple and fast-acting technique that you can use at any time in your life. Once you've tried it yourself you will also be able to help your loved ones with their issues.
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a process in which a counsellor creates a space where you can feel safe to talk about issues in your life that you have not so far dealt with and which are preventing you from being at peace with yourself. As a counsellor I work with you and provide you with the support you need to deal with these issues in a constructive way. Very often when we are absorbed in a problem it's difficult to see a way out and we can get stuck. Also, issues from the past may be buried at a very deep level and be forgotten on the surface but the result is that the same emotions keep recurring and bubbling up, causing frustration and helplessness. By listening to you attentively I allow you to explore your feelings and emotions in a relaxed and non-judgemental environment. This can be an effective way to enable you to release any feelings and emotions held in your system. As you let go of these negativities you create space for love, peace and joy to flow in.
When we reach the stage where we want more out of life than just our day to day mundane existence but we don't quite know what it is we are looking for we can feel confused and at a loss. Sometimes we question who we are and what we're doing here but it's easy to try and bury these under the carpet and forget about them because they're too scary to explore. They go away for a while but they come back again and again. This can be not only very frustrating but also distressing because we don't really know what it is we want nor what we can do about it. This is the time when we may become aware that we are not just body and mind but we also have a spirit. Our spirit (soul, whatever you call it) is calling to us and we want more than just everyday materialism. At times such as these spiritual guidance may help you to reach an understanding and have insight into what's really going on in your life and how you can access you inner resources to enable you to walk your path in peace and harmony.
I use tools such as visualisation, positive affirmations, meditation, contemplation and mindfulness to enable you to transform negative thoughts and energies into positive and constructive ones and break patterns of negative behaviour that keep on repeating. Meditation and mindfulness may enable you to live with awareness and as you become aware of your thoughts and feelings you can make choices that help, not hinder, you and which can enlighten your life. You stop living as a victim and start creating a life of possibilities and abundance for yourself.
